OUR RESEARCH PROJECTS
The need to ask questions about the world around us is a vital part of human understanding. However, people have differing beliefs, experiences and ideas so will seldom see or do things in the same way. This is why research is an important role in helping to better identify or group a range of behaviours and perceptions.
You can help with research by contributing to one or more of our interesting projects shown below:
The Survey on Foreign-Accented English Speech & Perception — a way to tell us about your world, the people you encounter, and the skills you use
The Non-Native English Speech Corpora — used to create recordings to show off your own speech style plus test any accent imitation skills you may have
Ethnic Group Attribution Tasks (Series 1) — a challenge to see how well you can correctly attribute voices/speech by country, region or heritage
Ethnic Group Attribution Tasks (Series 2) — for trying to correctly attribute distorted voices/speech by country, region or heritage
